Performs clerical support in order to ensure productive and accurate processing of invoices and chargebacks, maintenance of accounts payable records, and support for accounting department.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
Accurately enters information regarding invoice transactions into GERS system using correct general ledger account numbers.
Verifies all information related to invoices is accurate; matching freight received against invoices; identifies and corrects discrepancies.
Completes all documentation in an accurate and efficient manner and processes information in compliance with corporate guidelines.
Completes and processes chargeback paperwork.
Verifies all paperwork for invoice payment is timely and accurate; prints checks.
Communicates with internal and external personnel in a professional and timely manner.
Maintains accurate files and processes in order to maximize productivity.
Performs clerical support for accounting department as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
Basic reading and comprehension skills.
Basic numerical reasoning skills.
Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
Demonstrated knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of GERS system preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach regularly.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
Required Experience Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Accounts Payable required.
Previous clerical experience preferred.
